I brought out my mini "Tella" drone but the battery was low.

I am not kidding ... there is a donkey laughing in the distance. Farmer 'bout a mile away has one and it is feeling sassy.
 They must have good hearing because playing this on my phone made it join in!!!

I mostly just stayed in where it is cooler. I have done some reading and watched some videos. My wife went and worked on going through stuff at our house in town. I stayed behind and waited for new gate helper wheels for our driveway gate to arrive. They got here a little while ago but, I think I'll wait for the cool morning temp before I install them. It's supposed to be 70°F at 6AM tomorrow. 

 Right now at 5PM it is 105°F but feels like 111°F. At our place in town it is 111°F with a real feel of 119°F.

This past weekend I finished my back deck, as far as I planned to anyway. I still need to sand and seal it and I’ll make a railing for the steps. I’ll replace the balusters a few at a time and sand the 2”x4”s a little as I go. But, I’m glad the main stuff is done.

I see Palm Springs got to 121°F today and it got to 130°F in Death Valley.

 That is cooler than 10 July 1913 all time recorded highest temp of 134.1°F by 4 degrees, we'll see if it beats or gets to the record tomorrow?

I’ve been holed up in the Dad cave for the last couple of weeks because of the heat.  Not much to do out there except work on airguns or draw.  Been working on my Steam Punk comic project.  I won’t post finished art because I intend to copyright this stuff. But I will post the rough comps and some that hasn’t been inked yet.

If you decide to do numbered prints here is a good recommendation for print paper for fine art. Most of my printing is for photography and I use HP photography print paper.

As for doing anything today, not much, remove fruit pests, picked up the mail and few things from the store, inventoried and cleaned the latest order of rocks. Just trying to stay out of the heat. this the worst I have seen it in a long time. I will be glad when it is over.

Kris the tops of my crape myrtles are scorched and dying from the white burning sun. Never ever seen that before.

Mike the mower guy called about an hour ago and told me to come get the 360z. He said it was ready. So I hooked the trailer to the Titan and headed out. The bones from the Husqvarna was already loaded on the trailer. He only lives a couple miles away.
We unloaded the Husky and all the spare parts and loaded up the Snapper. I showed him how to use the airguns I gave him for he and his grandson and brought the zturn home.
I unloaded it and mowed the front yard with it.... works like  new one.
The problem was just what I thought after I spent a couple days thinking about it. I had the tensioner pulley arm out of position and the drive pulley had it in a bind. He had to pull the PTO and drive pulleys back off to get it right once he diagnosed the problem.
I'm going to go ahead and order a new air filer and spark plug for it. It already has a new oil filter and fresh oil in it. One of the front tires has a leak so I'll fix that.
Glad to have it back and running good.

I can't grow a garden right now it's so hot. Although the cucumbers don't seem to mind it to much and they are in the shade. I have hot pepper in seed trays I need to plant. They tolerate hot weather pretty well. So for now I will just get everything cleaned up, mix up new soil, and prep the planting containers.

The Boss was out of town at a convention so I had to present at City Council meeting.  My Padawan Engineers got in a small work tiff and I had to play referee over lunch.  Just another day at the office.  Got the laptop setup for my possible retirement consulting gig.  Reviewing a second recruitment attempt from Oklahoma...

I'm at my daughter's house. Went to the hospital and had the injections which were nothing. Just when we were leaving the hospital of course it started to rain.🤣🤣 Ended up with.5 inches which is needed. At my house 65 miles north we only received a trace.🤬🤬🤬 Temp dropped from 100f down to 59 in 15 minutes.👍👍👍👍

Took a couple boys fishing this morning.  Came home and swapped vehicles with my wife and Sean and I went out to run errands.  Stopped at 5 stores and bought all the goods that we set out for.  Home around 1400.  Set up and installed 3 security cameras around the house.  Swam in the pool.  Hung out some.  Mrs. P came home around 1430-1700.  We caught up on the days events.  Cooked some bacon for sandwiches at dinner time.  Ate.  I got really sleepy so I laid down @ 1900 and power napped until 1925.  I didn’t really want to get up but I knew that I needed to or I wouldn’t sleep tonight.  We cleaned up the dinner mess and made a fire outside to make s’mores.  We made s’mores, talked and played until time to settle in for the night.  Three boys are sleeping outside in a tent in the back, I’m going to go freshen up for bed and then surf another wave or two then shut it down for the night.
