I would guess it may be because of the goofy ergonomics. The scope height above the bore would make ranging the close shots extremely critical. I had a Talon SS and Condor SS for awhile. I loved the accuracy, and the trigger wasn't TOO bad. Also, I think they have a tendency to flex and cause a changing POI. I added the tri-rail and wokguard to help with these issues, but it didn't eliminate them altogether. Also, they are not regulated and don't shoot on a bell curve without some serious modifications. IMHO, there are just too many of these little issues that take it out of contention.
