Crosman 101 Arrived!

Merry Christmas to Me!
Yesterday I got a very nice Crosman 101 from Dennis Baker. It is a 1949 production, (same as me) as seen by 1) the maple stock, 2) 5 ring Cocking Knob, 3)Knurled Peep Sight, 4) Curved Bolt Handle and 5) Large Screw on the Peep Sight. The maple stock is mostly plain, but it does have a few small bird's eyes. The receiver appears worn from carrying and the front sight has some wear to the paint. All of which is good honest wear and will be preserved. The gun seems fairly accurate after a few shots in the 10 meter garage. I am very happy!
Below it, you will see my 140 that I resealed and refinished. I have a Weaver B4 Scope on it. It is shooting very well now. I recently replaced the pump linkage rivet and got the pumping action smoothed out considerably. This is the 140 that my older brother bought new, passed to me and our younger brother. It languished in his gun safe for way too many years before he let me know he still had it. Oh, well. At least I can enjoy it now, and I will, for sure!

Merry Christmas to All,
Steve
PS: Lower down my Flickr page you can see my Japanese Indian S-450 springer that I got in 1989. It is still fun. The pic of my Mom and I on my Triumph was taken 10 years ago. She turned 99 in Oct.

Funny that you should ask that. I just came in from shooting a few 14.5 grain Superdomes over the chrony. I got about 485 with 6 pumps and 555 fps with 10 pumps. That is about 15 fps faster than Baker AG's test tag. Could be a slight difference in chronies, or it could be my slow and deliberate pumping that transfers more air into the valve.
Thanks for asking.
