QB end cap modified to use bulk fill or cartridges

Recently gone off into QB ville, heck I've taken up residency there. So far this year I've bought a Techforce79/2078 in .22 then I discovered Flying Dragon and bought a QB78 from Mike and a AR2078B from Mike. The TF79 came with a bulk fill end cap(it was advertised as coming with the goodies they used to come with but did not and after some emails got the seller to send a bulk fill cap).We all know that 900 .lb pressure is dangerous so if you try this at home proceed with caution.I am a Machinist/Millwright by trade and hard headed and frugal so I decided to modify two end caps for bulk fill. I found a post from a gentleman in England who did just that. Ordered two one way paintball male fittings off Ebay.I expected the fittings to have a"ball" check installed but they had a sliding brass insert with an o-ring.At that point I almost gave up and purchased bulk end caps. Thought about it a while and drilled and tapped 1/8 NPT to a blind hole, drilled a 1/8" hole from the other side beside the piercing point to allow flow of Co2 to tube.Installed a spring inside the blind hole to push on the brass check valve to limit it's travel. So far this is working great and worth the effort it took. Now all three of my QB type rifles have bulk fill valves and two of them will work either with bulk or cartridges. I had my doubts but these two that I converted seem to be holding pressure better than the "store bought" one.
If you are interested here are some pictures of the process.

On the first one I drilled out the end cap just enough to clear the 1/8 NPT threads on the nipple.Done this way when removing the end cap, the hex portion of the nipple pulls on the plug when removing the plug from the gas tube. On the second one which I posted on photobucket I drilled a .5" hole in the end cap to clear the whole nipple, mistake. It is a little difficult to remove from the gas tube should you ever want to use cartridges and when attaching the bulk fill fitting one can push the plug back a little.

Check eBay, the QB78 bulk fill caps have been available and were a few days ago.
