My last shots were some H&N .218 21 gr. slugs, and they worked great, tomorrow mor heavy ammo test with crony numbers, not just playing like I did today https://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?topic=208250.msg156450991#msg156450991Many thanks sir and looking forward to chrony numbers.I received my $47 money pit in the same box from Amazon...lol.Maybe Crossman will let me use the 20% coupon on a steel breech.Looks like you might be back to original overall length once you out the sssh on the end

I'm sure with a chronograph I could set the RVA for peak power and peak efficiency, but mine will only measure the CO2 blast, not the pellet.I just wanted an air pistol that could take out small game animals at practical pistol ranges and fit in a pocket or holster. Originally I thought my 600 would fill this role, but I decided that an irreplaceable work of vintage art was a poor choice for a knock around gun.

I'm shooting my 28.5 grain cast slugs in the 360s with my stock barrel for just over 8 fpe. It does seem a little quieter.

I was worried that the 20 grain hunters were too heavy, but I was able to ring the 50 yard 6" steel (not every time) at the range today. There were some 22lr benchrest guys setting up their new guns and testing ammo and were impressed that I was able to even get close to the 50 yard steel with a CO2 pistol. How's the accuracy with the BBTs? I can get my cast hunters into one (large) hole with a rest at 10m using irons. I bet a scope would be even better. I do think about getting another 2240 for a "full power" tune, and maybe some fancy parts.
Got another one this evening, a mature male this time. He was about 20' up a tree and 20' away from me, so not a tough shot. I wish they would just stay further out in the woods. I'm well stocked on squirrel meat, so these have been dog treats.

Have you considered the Zoraki HP/Webley Alecto as your 2nd field pistol?Totally different platform, but you can use it during the winter and it does not need any mods.I think your fellow Stubby partner, BackRoads, owns one.
Sweet!Anybody got a link to the thread on how to make a stubby [chuckling]?
