Which of the Daisy BB guns is closest to a full size stock? I am not a giant but hate crunching myself all around a small BB gun like the Daisy Buck. Hope they are not all the same size.

The Red Ryder is 13.5" LOP. The 96, 99, 499B 'wide frame' guns are same. Most wide frame 95 are 12.75”. The 880 is 13.875".

You might have to hunt some to find one, Daisy shows them out of stock, but the Adult version of the standard Red Ryder:

The red ryder is bigger than the buck. Add a chief aj stock and you have a winner.

They're supposedly going to make more of the adult size Daisy RRs but they don't sell just the gun. With the added target, glasses, etc. the cost for the 'shooters kit' was $70.00 plus shipping. Forget how much for the adult RR and the added Buck.
The LOP for the chief AJ stock is 14.875” and so is the adult 1938B Red Ryder from Daisy (give or take a quarter inch).
When I bought my chief aj stock it was $25.95 delivered. Last time I saw, the stock alone is $39.45 delivered and the lever is $29.50 delivered, so the best deal is the combo lever and stock for $47.45 delivered. Those prices were current several months ago.

I got the Red Ryder today and I do need to get a longer stock. Meanwhile, they don' specify what kind of oil should be used and how often. They only show the oil port. I don't see any way of ;adjusting the sights for windage either. I don't want to file the rear sight wider so I guess it id Kentucky windage.

The knee-jerk answer is 30w ND motor oil because Daisy used to recommend it. Now they recommend 20w motor oil and no mention of detergency is made one way or the other. You'll want a needle dispenser to get it into that hole. A small 2-3 drop dose of oil after at least 500 shots (you might be able to go 1000 shots) is enough in my experience. I add the first dose when I unbox a gun or after a thorough cleaning. Using a needle dispenser means you won't be able to count the drops so time it after seeing how much comes out in how much time. Counting "one thousand one" is long enough w/the one I use. I use 5w-20 Mobil 1 synthetic. Before that I used 10w-40 same brand and type.
The lack of windage adjustment has been a peeve of mine since forever. I've yet to see one of these guns shoot to POA, windage-wise and it wouldn't cost Daisy a quarter to add it to the RR using parts they already use on the 880 and others. smh. I have tried several different fixes for this, most involving modifying the barrel plug/front sight. None were satisfactory because the windage was not adjustable on the fly. The fix I now use is a pain in the arse to do but it works the best of anything I've come up with so far () Briefly I grind off the top of the factory sight to remove the existing notch. Then I drill and tap a hole to mount a Daisy sight blade from a 901 (p/n 137970-000 sight group $1.75). A screwdriver is still needed to adjust windage but at least it
IS
adjustable.
Click on the photo for some details of installing this sight blade:

You can always just buy a pine board the same thickness as the stock and cut your own.
