Its a lot better, dont need to let go of the gun to insert the pellets. I shoot a 1701P, it has a bolt that can be switched to the left or right. I shoot pistol in my right hand, and have the bolt to the left so I don't have to change my grip when I load.

I shoot pistol in my right hand, and have the bolt to the left so I don't have to change my grip when I load.As Mark wrote, this is the way I would have set up my 1720t had I not put a scope on the pistol with a side wheel...Some of the high powered powder burner repeating pistols that are bolt operated, have the bolt on the left so the pistol can be reloaded without disturbing your grip...
