Thanks Unk!That was the write up I was remembering I had read but couldn't find it now to give reference to![/quoteI’ve been looking at getting a Hipac for my 2400kt just to tether either a c02 bottle or an HPA regulated bottle to. Could do the same with my Maximus then.I have too much time for daydreaming obviously
In shooting paint Ball for many years using Co2 .... Our PCP rifles simply ARE NOT very well designed to do so ... PERIOD !!Two things need to be in place in a Co2 air gun for it to work correctly ( Co2 pistols are fine )The Liquid Co2 is allowed to pool under the gas vapor that is venting to the valve mechanics, OR ... liguid Co2 go's into an baffled expansion chamber where the conversion from liquid to gas can take place. In the days of 13cu in or larger on gun bottles you wanted to use an ANTI SIPHON tube inside the guns bottle that hads its intake at the top edge of bottle interior when held level. This would for most of ones shooting keep the valve free of liquid Co2.the other way it was done was by allowing liquid Co2 to flow from bottle then have it enter a baffled expansion chamber ( many times disguised as the vertical fore-grip ) This had the Co2 off gassing as it went between baffles then by the time it was heading to the valve was in a full gas state.
It would be impossible to over fill your ag with co2 with freezing your tube even if you rapid fire it to cool it.
It would be impossible to over fill your ag with co2 with freezing your tube even if you rapid fire it to cool it. You need to use a short nipple connecting to the female fosterQD in line with a slide check to minimize wasting co2...you need to transter liquid co2 for max shooting. If you transfer gas might get <10 shots vice 40 something.
First problem was being able to disconnect the hose with out blowing out the O ring.
I tethered a 24 oz paintball tank to my XS-60C.
