best all purpose rifle
a rifle that can be used for an occasional target match, backyard practice/plinking and not so heavy that it would be burdensome or unwieldy while hunting.
Subjective to say the least....I can only speak for guns I own....I'm going with the GAMO Urban.
FX Streamline in .22 caliber. Has power settings for low around barns, medium for cheap plinking with crosman hp or domed with excellent accuracy to atleast 50, and high for hunting with jsb and h&n hunters. Also is light enough to pack hunting and short enough to be maneuverable but still good as a bench gun. Good trigger, easy cocking, magazine, very quiet with a ldc etc.

HW98, is the most accurate spring gun I own. It will do all you want, and is extremely accurate for any match. Tom
