Title: Daisy Model 95 rebuild kit available?
Post by: buellm2 on February 03, 2018, 01:20:04 AM
I got this Daisy Model 95 Quick Skill in the mid 60s.   Power was down to almost nothing so today I took it apart.  It was remarkably easy to get the piston out without special tools.   I'm guessing that the plastic seal and the felt oiler washer are the parts needed to get the power back.   Anybody know where to get them?  Is it even worth trying to rebuild?  The stock is kind of rough looking.   Should I strip it and refinish it or should it be left as is?

My standard model 95 isn't very accurate ( a model 25 shot tube will change this ) but I like the thing and say it is worth rebuilding.
I recently rebuilt one with parts from a recent model 105, but I had to carefully spin the rubber Piston head against a piece of sandpaper to reduce the size.
You should be able to call Daisy and get the parts, even if you have to use 105 / red Ryder parts.
I'm sure someone will have parts numbers for whatever Daisy has that can be used.
