I made stir fry. Mostly cabbage. Just one chicken breast. The pot on the left is Jasmine rice. After Sophia makes the noodles that will feed four (large) adults and hopefully there will be leftovers

Ceviche (Habanero spiced) Tostado and Shrimp and Octopus Cocktail.I dished up just a little of the Shrimp and Octopus Cocktail without the juice for the pic. This was at my daughter's house yesterday the tortillas in the background were for a Catering job the had to do today, but I ate more today here at home.
Today, I finally got to try the Chick-fil-A spicy chicken sandwich. My 17yo daughter had 2 friends over to work on a school project. They wanted Chick-fil-A, and asked if I wanted anything. I requested the spicy chicken sandwich.I'm a fan of Popeye's spicy chicken sandwich, so I wanted to compare it to Chick-fil-A. In regards to flavor, for me, it's a tie, but that's about it. Popeye's scs is a larger, thicker solid piece of breast, the buns are artisan quality, and it's nearly 2 dollars cheaper.Popeye's spicy chicken sandwich is the winner!
A fellow "Foody" gave me this.Uhmmmm.. MIND BLOWN for walmart pickles.
I started this up this morning: https://www.gimmesomeoven.com/crock-pot-red-beans-and-rice/

Looks great, Jerry!I was sold when I saw andouille sausages. Gonna be making this on the next day or 2.

California's two positives. Most of the Mexican food I get here is from 1st or 2nd Gen immigrants and authentic. My youngest daughter married into 10 years ago and has learned the authentic recipes, so well you could say she is a "white Mexican" now. It is fitting her son from her first marriage was 8 or nine when he said "I use to be white, but now I am a Mexican" one day. We get a lot of great food from that part of the family.

Gonna be making this on the next day or 2.Unfortunately, I already had a package of Polska Kielbasa so I'll be using that. But I'm gonna put some Tony Chachere's Cajun seasoning into it. If it comes out good I'll try to find some Andouille next time.
