Got back from the store with batteries. On the digital calipers both the tube and the shroud measured 22.50The distance from the top of the shroud to the bottom of the tube measured 48.80That should leave 3.80 as the space between. So, and again I so have the first clue on how to used the software to create an STL file, 2 equal holes at 22.50 spaced 3.80 apart then fill in the outer surroundings. Then, to keep it simple, a grub screw at the bottom of the tube to secure the BB to the tube. The shroud don't need to be secured.

Sounds like you are giving it a go.
That's nice. I'd do 2 set screws on the bottom though. Helps keep it from moving from a sideways bump. And to protect the Tube finish? Punch out a rubber plug from an inner tube or something. That will help protect your tube.
Bruce, that design is great right there. Yes on the 2 screws... maybe one at 4 oclock and on at 8 oclock. You can drill and tap for any grubs you may have on hand.I appreciate it.BTW... I looked at the Fortitude barrel band and it also had 2 screws at 4 and 8.

Might be tomorrow before I can get to it. We have our 4 yr old grandson tonight and he's a handful. Lost the Internet for a while due to his "activities" earlier. Stuff was knocked over due to running around. Kid needs to be channeled, left unchecked, wow. Most of the time he's fine, but tonight seems to be a little acting out. His parents are out on the town tonight, they need it with him!

It's all good... it's for Betty Lou's gun and she hasn't shot it in several months. Let me know what I owe ya.
LOL... I like kids... I just can't eat a whole one.
