These paints are widely used in various industries with big expensive problems.

As Henry Ford said when he started selling the model T "you can get it in any color you want as long as it's Black"Here is a pic of my 1921 Emerson Jr fan and as you can see the original paint has held up great

Takes me a little longer to come around. I didn’t realize Duracoat is a ceramic. Rules that one out in my book. And Rick you are right about powder coating being thick. It has its place but not what I’d use on an airgun.
