Little curious, are my guns too loud that I don't hear any pinging or is it something else. Have not heard a single ping on any of my guns. Seems weird to me when everyone is complaining how loud the ping on their rifles are. That brush should silence any air pulses if that causes the ping? Marko

MarkoYes, your guns are way too loud The ping actually does become audible when you silence the gun but in worst cases you can feel the vibrations through the stock. I wouldn't use a brush myself when a simple disc with o-ring around it does the job. With bigbores there's a considerable force pushing depingers towards the valve so I want mine sturdy.

That is why I make "legs" on my home-brew bottle brush to keep it in place. I've seen a few different 3D printed depingers, but they seem to take up a lot of space and have been known to move. I'd would like to see your home-brew design if you don't mind sharing. Do you have a picture of your depinding assembly or could you put one together and post a picture of it for us? Thanks.
I totally disassembled my .45 Challenger pup Yesterday. Went through cleaning and lubing all parts. Also polished the trigger group. Both cocking and trigger are vastly improved. Even picked up 25 fps of speed using my cast 300 gn slugs. I had a bottle brush in it. And as I was warned, it slid all the way up to the end of the tube. Didnt seem to harm anything. But I pulled it out and installed a 8” piece of plastic wire loom. It was just a tad bigger around than the ID of the air tube. But because it was split the full length. I rolled the edge over and shoved it in. Works much better than the brush did. And even if it were to slide down, it is on the outside of the tube and can’t touch any of the 4 holes in the valve.
What is a plastic wire loom?
Wonder why it is called “loom?”
