I think .218 is the smallest that will work in my gun.The 27.5gr I'm getting hopefully will shoot good because of the little bit greater bearing surface. We will see next week.wll
I'm pretty sure I have some of them around here, but I haven't tried them yet. Let me take a look around and see if I can find them.

I am how at the debts of despair -- The 27.5gr slugs came in and at 5 pumps I get 402fps and 7 pumps give me 460fps. At any given distance the 24.8gr slugs are better performers. After visiting my psychologist after this test and him giving me handfuls of meds and electrical shocks to calm my total despair, I decided to test my Seneca Domes that were sized to 5.53 (.2177) -- Well I got 470+ fps with 7 pumps and 426 fps with 5 pumps. My down range energy is fine, not like a heavy slug would be but very, very good. I was shooting way to the right with slugs, so i made the adjustments with the Domes.I don't want to buy anymore slugs, so I think I will stick with and go back to the beginning and stick with the Seneca Domes.I'll be outside shooting tomorrow and testing inside tomorrow after the meds wear off ;- )Thanks for putting up with my shenanigans guys ;- )wll
Will, with those heavy pellets and at that speed, do you notice the gun's report is much quieter than if you used, say, a 14.3 grain pellet at the same number of pumps? My understanding is that the muzzle report should be more quiet with the heavier pellets because you're "using up" more of the air before the pellet leaves the barrel. Thanks.
Put the Buck Rail 4X $20 bargain scope on my C362.Took off my heavy CVLife AO 3x9 X 40 scope with lighted reticle. The CVL is heavy and the clarity is just OK.The Buck Rail 4X scope is way, way lighter, and although it is not an AO scope, the AO can be adjusted and I adjusted it down to 30 yards. This scope is very light as I mentioned, is very clear and the built quality seems pretty good --- It is perfect for this gun IMHO.Yes, there are more sexy scopes I could put on this gun, but being real, I don't need it. 4X is enough for a Starling head shot at ~35 yards, yet keeps the optics light and small. I don't want bulk in the field. Being this scope is only 7.5" long aids in the ease of carrying in the outdoors also.Since I'm shooting heavy pellets and using this gun as a short/short medium range sledge hammer, why do I need to carry around a large high magnification scope that weights another 7oz or more ---- I don't !The 4X weighs 8.3oz and the 3x9 CVL weighs 13.9oz --- 5.6oz more. That may not seem like much, but you surely can tell the difference !Pic of 4X next to 3x9 CVL below ---- C362 with 4X scope below that.Later Guys, wll

And, when loaded, how much weight does that add to your gun? Would it not be better to carry that stuff in a waist pouch?
Gotcha... how much ya want for the CVLife scope? ...
