Best thing to do is take that Mack Truck apart and remove the chain smoking oils.
I spent the day breaking in the new rifle. I’ve tried about a dozen different pellets in it. So far accuracy does not meet my standards. Approximately 150 shots through it. Mostly shotgun patterns. The best group I got was shot using iron sights, unsupported, from a lawn chair, at ten yards. Five 7.4gr Crosman pointed pellets in 1”.My eyesight is terrible and ten yards is about five yards farther than I can use iron sights so that group is probably indicative of better accuracy. On the plus side the trigger, while not great, is much better than my other Umarex rifles straight out of the box.If I can’t find a pellet it likes I may try a barrel swap. I’ve still got the AirHawk I bought a couple of years ago. It was pretty accurate until the gas ram died. The barrel looks identical to the one on the BlackHawk.

It really dislikes Crosman pellets. I get really good results using RWS Supermags and Norma wadcutters/domes. Both of them are much softer lead composition than the Crosman products and seem to fit more snugly in the breech.
