The p17 and other variants are probably the best value going in an air pistol. If you want an accurate pistol, look no further.
Send Mike a message here. He might still have some. I got mine from him and love it with the 22 barrel.http://flyingdragonairrifles.org/blog/?p=1607
Only complaints that I have ever heard about them is the closing effort and pinching of body parts when closing. There are fixes for that, either an added cocking lever at the back of the gun, or internal adjustments, to negate the amount of air being compressed, with minimal loss of velocity. Just got a XSP 120D from MM/FD for $20 with .177 and .22 barrels. Mounted a BSA Edge 2x20 pistol scope on it. I inch groups at 10 yards. .177 barrel averaged 384 fps with RWS R-10 Match Pistol 7gr and the .22 304 fps with RWS Hobby 11.9gr. Trigger few ounces. Don't know if it's a clone of the P17 or other way around.Might get P17 for comparison. I'll just take everyone's word on the P3.

I'm pretty sure the XSP is a clone of the P17 which is a clone...

Just did order a P17 with some other stuff. Will the XSP 120D barrels fit in the P17 or is it's .177 barrel permanently or differently attached?
Just read up on the Steoger XP4 basically the same guns as the P17, XSP120D or Marksman 2004. Cost a little more. Made me wonder is the expense of the P3 or HW40 justified.

I was about to order a Stoeger XP4 until I found another Ted Williams Crosman 150 that I had to buy. Please let us know if/when you try it.
