What do you all think of these rifles?
Looking for an underlever I can afford that still has some quality.
Was looking at Diana's but have been advised they are hard to cock and there out of my price range anyway.
Any advise or information would be appreciated.
Thanks Terry

where did you find them? i have been looking for that for a while to no avail. i like the quality of the stoeger guns (even though they are made in china). they seem to respond well to tuning.

Anyone know if there is a trigger upgrade for this rifle Stoeger S6000E?
I found a good used rifle and would like to put a better trigger in it, but it seems my computer wont open the links on the GRT trigger site so I cant tell if they have one that will work?
If anyone knows if they do or someone else does, please let me know .
Thanks Terry

If it uses the same trigger as the X10 and X20 (doubtful) the GRT III would work. Back then Stoeger, Crosman, and Gamo all used very similar trigger packs and the GRT III worked in all of them. More recently Crosman and Gamo have changed trigger styles. The charliedatuna.com website has different triggers for the newer Gamo and Crosman guns. I know of no upgraded trigger for the Stoeger guns. Surf You Tube a bit. They may have improvements you can make to your trigger. If you are up for it and have a bit of experience you can probably improve it a bit by polishing, experimenting with screw lengths, lubrication, removing any slop with nylon washers, etc. If you've not worked on triggers I recommend leaving it alone. Replacing a trigger blade is not the same as getting experience working on triggers and you can turn a safe trigger into a very dangerous trigger in short order if you aren't sure what you're doing or why.

I'm posting a quick update here on T.C.'s behalf. We've been chatting by PM.
He bought the GRTIII and said it is a drop in replacement. He said the trigger breaks cleanly now, but doesn't really have a first stage.
I may order up a GRTIII and see if it'll go in my S8000E-TAC.
My thought is that if it is NOT the same trigger as was in my old X20 (which the GRTIII did fit) then why did they bother to change the trigger to something equally as bad?
What Crosman has done in their Nitro Piston Elite guns is a good compromise between shootability and satisfying the lawyers. On my Diamondback, their "Clean Break Trigger" DOES INDEED break cleanly. It's a bit heavier than I like, (+ for the lawyers) but at least I can tell where it'll break. (+ for the shooters) I feel like Stoeger needs to go in this direction if they're going to stay relevant.

I would keep an eye on ebay for a gamo cfx. When I was looking for an underlever I bought a diana 46 and it was too heavy and not that accurate. Most underlevers are too front heavy by design or just too pricey but the cfx can be had on the cheap, it's well balanced and feels great to hold/shoot.
