With time and some fiddling maybe as good as my Wil Tuned Evanix .30Mine has sat for over 2 weeks while I was out West and is holding air. And here we have an opinion that needs to be taken in consideration,....Proven person that knows his stuff.I also had the chance to shoot Chris's .30 Challenger near Sioux City a few days ago.75 yard shots were easy so I'd say a fine Gun for the price.Had We had targets at 100 yards? I know We would have hit them.I always feel shooting one example of any Gun is giving you a limited taste.Shooting several gives you the over all picture. If the AEA I want makes it to the USA? I'll buy it.This AEA .30 is going to be traded off for a Evanix .357Nothing major wrong with it and is a great Gun. I just trust the Evanix line after having several. So my Evanix line is Max-Air .25 Semi Auto, .30 RainStorm , soon .357, and a .50 SniperYou did get me started with the Evanix line.

Is there a catalog with all the production guns floating around somewhere ?
Quote from: Cableaddict on July 03, 2021, 02:11:31 PMThe main issue has been build quality. As late as last year, there were all sorts of reports of flimsy adjusters, loose connections that couldn't be tightened, etc. Sort of the worst-case scenario with a Chinese mfg. However, some recent buyers report significant improvements, such as the riveted connections now replaced with threaded screws, etc.But I'm still not ready to dive in, even though I also REALLY like the overall designs, and of course the power is excellent. The HP bullpup is the one I'd love to have if the quality turns out to be fine. I would remove the spring, disabling the semi-auto function, since we can't hunt with semi-auto's in NY State. Luckily, that design makes this easy to do.Another issue is accuracy, esp with slugs. They may be fine, but I have yet to see any careful tests. And some users say the trigger is average at best. And they don't appear to be regulated (I could be wrong) So is there an aftermarket reg available? I'm considering turning the HP bullpup into a bottle gun, so I could put a Ninja reg on the outside, but that's a lot of $$ in the end, so again maybe better choices out there. And finally: One big attraction for me with the HP is it's 24" barrel in such a short gun. They accomplish this partly by having the trigger a good length away from the butt, (which I like, personally) but one has to wonder how much shroud-baffle is in there, and how well it works. That shroud also doesn't have much diameter at the end, so..... If the gun NEEDS an added moderator for backyard shooting, then I think there better other options out there for just a little more money.-------------------------Let's see some more reports from recent buyers before getting too carried away .... We can't hunt with semi autos here? I've never heard this. Is this air rifles only? As long as it's .177 or .22 caliber or can be modified to hold six shots or less you're good. From NYSDECs websiteIt is illegal to take or hunt wildlife:with any semi-automatic firearm with a capacity to hold more than 6 rounds, EXCEPT the following semi-automatic firearms:firearms using .22 or .17 caliber rimfire ammunition, orfirearms altered to reduce their capacity to no more than 6 shells at one time in the magazine and chamber combined, orautoloading pistols with a barrel length of less than eight inches. Ah, except it's not rimfire ammo. It would have to hold 6 pellets.

So you should be able to hunt with a semi automatic.

If it shoots over 600 fps it's a firearm to them. From NYSDECAir guns may be used to hunt furbearers. An air gun is defined as a firearm that uses spring or compressed air (not gunpowder) to propel a single projectile that is .17 caliber or larger and produces a muzzle velocity of at least 600 feet/second.

I have 2 of the AEA Challengers .... 1 is the .357 24 inch barrel none bullpup , and that gun is a power house , and can shoot very accurate with pellets or slug's using the NOE molds ... The 2nd AEA gun is a Challenger .30 32inch barrel bullpup { shorter than my DAR guns }, it shoots the jsb 44.75 and the NOE pellets very well with the power turned down on the dial by about a 1/4 of a turn , Bob pushed a 82g bullet close to 1100 FPS 214 FPE with this 32inch barrel set up , so I think with some testing we should be able to get into the 230-240 FPE range ... this gun is a monster in .30 ...

It does have the Nomad and Wasp listed, but not sure if or where you could purchase one.http://www.aeaairgun.com/Guns
I'm not sure why people are adding LDC's on the Challenger .30One thing I was impressed by was how quite it is out of the box.Aside from that ping that is.Now Chris is shooting way out in the middle of nowhere right beside PB shooters! Why add a DonnyFL? Maybe so if he misses they don't look? I added a DonnyFL to the .30 and .50 Evanix cause those are loud! Now I do love to pull the DonnyFL off the .50 if I hear any "BB Gun" comments!
