For the record, an Edge stock would not have a bracket inside it. The "bracket" is actually molded inside there when they make the stocks.
The picture is of the inside of an Edge stock and the arrows point to the molded in "bracket".
In the case of the wood Striker stocks, they milled it in there when they routered out the inside of the stock as seen in the picture I posted
above and why the wood version didn't need one either.

On the plastic stock, yes. Wood stock, no. It was added to my Striker 1000X stock whether it was supposed to be there or not. It had the place in the wood stock machined out to fit it as well.

I have only owned a few Hatsan made rifles. I did get a wood Striker stock to replace the plastic one that was on a Webley VMX . It broke at the front screws, also, as mentioned above. The last time I checked, you could get a wood stock for $59 from Hatsan, & that is a bargain. I suggest replacing Hatsan supplied screws with better quality screws.
