BKL 261 Scope mount for bolt guns

  This is a mount worthy of mention so i thought i'd post it.

  Mount 261MB is a one piece mount designed for rimfire or airguns with a magazine or bolt that protrudes above the receiver. Because of that, and the fact that it's made in the U.S., i chose it to go on my marauder. I ordered it from Pyramid air for about $40.00.

  It comes nicely packaged and the mount itself seems of quality although the lack of a scope stop pin was quickly apparent and a bit disappointing since it means i couldn't use any of these mounts on any of my springers. It has 3/8" or 11mm rails that come pre expanded beyond the size of your gun rails and easily slides on. 3 hex bolts which set into the frame of the mount(which is nice) tighten the rails together and i must say it seems like a very strong and good looking mount.
 It's a bit tall for some guns possibly but my 40mm scope was ok and i think a 50mm objective scope would still clear with no problem. I've a feeling that 50mm was on their mind when spec'ing the height of the rings. Another sign that this mount was designed for non-spring guns is the 2 bolt per ring configuration. Fine for pcp guns though. Also have noted that it doesn't mark the scope tubes a bit.


 For the right gun, this makes a great mount with a larger scope, good looking and made in the U.S., fairly priced and of overall quality. I'll recommend it highly for the right setup.  J
