I tend to airbrush everything because I have that capability. I've been using DuraCoat for several years. Better than paint. Inferior to Cerakote. If you own a compressor then DuraCoat is a good deal. The basic kit comes with an airbrush that is completely adequate for 90% of what you could be coating.DuraCoat is scratch and impact resistant but it will soften in some solvents. Aggressive gun cleaning compounds and some insect repellents can remove it.
Maybe powdered coated, Waiting for paint to dry seems to tedious and costly for modern production.
