Hear ye... Hear ye!
Come one, come all... Casual Match #1 of 2023/2024 is open for business!!!

The Casual Match is a fun match. Shoot whatever you want at 10M (more or less depending on what you have available), use any position or rest that you prefer. See below for the details.

Rules are the same as for the 50’ Casual Match, except distance is 10M instead of 50’, using the 50’ target of choice. If you are limited to distance, shoot at whatever distance you have available. Classes are PCP Rifle (includes any rifle except spring or nitro pistons), Jumper (Piston Rifle, spring or gas), and Pistol. One entry may be made in each class.

The match #1 will run 2 weeks, through Sunday, 12/3/23.

Call name or real name
PCP, Jumper or Pistol Class
Air rifle or Pistol used

I am so new to the community that the slang is puzzling.
I'm not sure what is what when it comes to it's classification.
Co2, and pumper are pretty self explanatory, but some of the others get me.

PCP is precharged pneumatic that you fill with a compressor, tank or hand pump. Jumper is a break barrel or underlever.

Well....
CO2 guns are considered PCP as they are a Pre-Charged Pneumatic.
You are thinking of HPA (High Pressure Air) requiring a compressor/ tank/ pump.
All HPA are PCP, but not all PCP are HPA.
That's why CO2's are in the Darkside Gate... (PCP/CO2/HPA Air Gun Gates "The Darkside")
"Jumpers" get that term from a spring (coiled or NP) and there are also side-levers as well as break-barrels and under-levers..

As far as Pumpers go, I tried that a few years ago, but Marty with his 397's and myself were the only participants... then he left.

Got her sited in ok. Next airgun activity will be shooting a casual card casually.

I call the pellet contest I go through every now and then the "one pump to rule them all" contest. Daisy sans plombe wadcutters and h&n spitzkugels show up strong along with the ftt greens. The ftts have been solid favorites for a while, so why not work a casual match target into the mix?

I can see using my MK2 in a match like this.

Shot this while waking up with a cup of coffee before work. Didn't get the chance to score until lunch break.

I already have the 10m (33') laid out in my back yard just waiting for a day when it's not raining to give it a try.

The scoring thing is very foreign to me.
I noticed splitbeing shot two times at each target with -3, -3 etc. markings for I guess scores with the two reticles in the middle shot at too.

Maybe I should read the instructions again.

Gonna shoot another target, this time with the EMS LOA I put a hawke reddot on recently and am sighting in with open sight cowitness.

Not sure I will get around to submitting a pistol tsrget as well before leaving town on Friday.

So far so good, incorporating casual match shooting into my already existing airgun routine.

Having the targets already printed out and available makes joining the match easier. So far it's casual and I think gets increasingly fun as more folks casually join in the fun.

For the new ones, I’ll explain the target- there are 24 bulls, but you can cross out 2 pairs (in the same box) I left pellets in the some hole so the score would be clear.
It’s great to see that there is some new interest in the matches, it really is more fun with more people. So let’s keep it fun and casual.
