Air Gun Gate / Re: So what did you Order / Receive today ? (to feed the "Beast" that lives within)« Last post by Hoosier Daddy on Today at 10:44:15 AM »Today the USPO nice lady said you have three fairly large packages and even offered to help me carry them out. An AR2078-.177, a QB78 Deluxe in .177 and a standard QB78 in .22 caliber. A still have one more coming this year, I hope, and that is a Crosman custom shop 1300kt pistol. CharlesChuck, I am impressed with how you jumped right into the airgun game this year. +1 Nice haul!! 2

Daisy Gate / Daisy 141/142 Defender« Last post by ddm on Today at 10:27:25 AM »I recently acquired a transition 141/142 Defender. It is one of the 141s Daisy converted into a 142 during early 1953 production. Blued barrel, 141 barrel stamp with the last 1 in 141 over-stamped with a 2 and the words "Forced Feed" stamped out. Plastic stock/forearm in unusually good condition. No cracks or warps. Unfortunately, it came without some internal parts. Can I use a modern Model 25 shot tube in this gun like I have read? And, does anyone know where I can find a trigger spring? Is there another model of daisy out there that uses the same trigger or can someone give me the specs on the trigger spring so I can try and find a replacement? Any help would be appreciated. ddm

Air Gun Gate / Re: So.....what did you shoot today?« Last post by Jshooter71 on Today at 10:23:06 AM »Spent the past 30 minutes or so shooting the Dragonfly MK2 in .177. I just can't say enough about this gun. I got used to pretty much just using pressure on the pump/forestock finger groove with my thumb and fingers, mostly my first 2 digits. The rest of my hand, namely my palm just floats. That’s how I’ve always done it with my kids’ 760s, especially Ayrabella’s M4-177. I don’t really think about it, but I think it keeps my palm at least an inch above the end of the pump handle. I’m glad you mentioned the Crosman pellets. Since I’m using CPDUM & CPHPs in the C2023, I was thinking about switching to Crosman 10.5 gr. Domes in the box. They’re a third of the price of what I’m feeding my Dragonfly Mk2. I do have a tin of 10.5 domes to try, but I have 5 tins of the Rangemaster Sovereign Hunters and 6 tins of the AA Diablo Field Heavy (JSB 10.33 gr. 4.52mm) that no other rifle I have likes. I may just go ahead and get 4 boxes of the 10.5 gr. Crosman Domes and put them up, anyway. By the way… the Dragonfly Mk2 is pointing me towards the Darkside… I don’t think I’m very far off now. ![]() 6

I've got a 2-7 x 32 Hawke AO scope on it and it's like the perfect match up for me. The scope is light weight and and clear. 5 strokes at 20yds with the Crosman 10.5 ultra mags is very accurate paper punching holding groups well within 3/8 to 1/2" if the shooter does his/her part. I can't find any reason to pump it more but if I did, this gun delivers awesome power. SPA is price points ahead on the triggers in these type guns. I do have one complaint though.... the sharp edge on the pump handle wears a blister that soon breaks open on my thumb. Even if I don't completely close the pump handle between strokes. Which BTW, you don't have to do. It may very well be the action that I use on the up stroke and I may be able to change that but it's habit. It's how I pump all my MSP guns. And I refuse to reshape it. I have always preferred to only make reversible modifications to my guns. I think it goes a long way to maintaining resale value. Also thinking about trying a peep sight on this gun. Oh, almost forgot... CARM mags. Smooth and so easy to load. 9
