Without reading this whole thread, is there room for RV's to camp? I have a fifth wheel that is self contained, I can bring my own water, built in generator for power, but is there a place to park such a rig. Not sure if I can make it, but if I tell the wife we are going camping in the fifth wheel I'll get a better response.
Ok fellas, the itinerary for the show/shoot needs ironing out and hopefully your insite can help out. Also, I’ll be needing some type of system of volunteers to staff such a project too. Maybe each shooter that finishes his run must accompany the next shooter down the trail and score them? Some way to keep things safe and fair is all.
Won't be the same without ya Keith!
Ok fellas, the itinerary for the show/shoot needs ironing out and hopefully your insite can help out.The Field and Target or “jungle walk” part of the shoot has so many possible layers to it and I wish to maximize its fun for you for the amount of work going into it. For those who don’t know what is being planned here, view the short drone filmed video of the walking trail and use your imagination regarding shooting lanes and hunting scenarios that are presented all the way down the trail. If at all possible mention this post in other topics to get more eyes on it for suggestions. https://gopro.com/v/JbWMvy22a1En7If all goes as planned NASA (Northwest Arkansas Spring-Gun Association) will be allowing us to use some of their field target systems for under 20fp shooting. One side of the walking path can be set up for this lower energy level of shooting. The other side will allow any level of energy because it will use a combination of scored paper targets and steel. We obviously can not mix the two energies as NASA’s targets would be shredded with higher energy fire. I located a sufficient amount of paper targets that will work nicely, I just need to make up the frames/holders.The show publicly opens Fri, Sat, Sun. So we have three days to play with this trail.First thing....Each day any new shooter must go through a safety training meeting before being allowed to shoot anywhere on the premises. Once the shooter is cleared and given a safety badge, they can then go about the show and enjoy live fire on any of the ranges. The question I have for you folks is how would you break down each day for the F/T “jungle walk” part of the shoot. Sunday could be simply a free style walk through shoot but no paper scored targets would be used. Saturday or Friday could be the competition day where the participants now pay for the round and split up cash prize money for 1,2,3rd places. It could be divided into several categories or calibers. One competition could be just the 20fp or less. One could be any energy fp. One could be under 25cal....etc. The runs could be timed and scored according by hits and points (paper targets). Each run eligible for scores would be required to pay a few bucks for their run to cover scoring, papertargets, prize money, trophy, etc....Anyway, you can see how many options are out there for the F/T walk. I need a little bit of direction from you fellas that will be participating. What would you like to see???Also, I’ll be needing some type of system of volunteers to staff such a project too. Maybe each shooter that finishes his run must accompany the next shooter down the trail and score them? Some way to keep things safe and fair is all.
Teresa and I are too Keith.
