8-32x56 Sidewinder for $299. Wow.

Is that Sidewinder a markedly better scope than the UTG 8-32x56?

I just ordered a 2-7x32 AO to put on one of my 22xx's or 13xx's. I like to use smaller, lighter scopes on those.

Thanks for the heads-up!

Showed $9.99 shipping on my 8-32x56 sidewinder but it was zero at the end. Thanks for the heads up on these!!

I "think" I remember reading that the free shipping ended at midnight that night, but I couldn't swear to it.

I saw the Hawke stuff come back up for sale and ordered my third AirMax from Dvor.  I got in at the right time, I guess... free shipping.  I also picked up a one-piece scope mount and a pair of scope rings to have handy.  Great prices and service from Dvor so far.

In the past, I ordered some 5.11 pants from them, and they took a few weeks to ship.  The scopes have always shipped in a day or two.

Tight groups,
Bob

My tracking says the one I ordered should be to me on Saturday.  8) It's my first Hawke. I know it's gonna spoil me.

Got an Endurance 4-16X50  with the mil dot reticle for $271.99 but missed the free shipping and no code I searched could get it back.  On well, the price was still as good as it gets.

I decided to get a second 8-32x56 Sidewinder. Had to pay shipping on that one but still don't see how you could go wrong on the price.

Didn't think I needed a new scope, till I kept coming back to this and seeing your responses.  Not familiar with the sidewinder, but just picked up the 8-32x56.  I currently have a primary Arms 4-16 on my at44 and world great.  Bigger is better right ?

I have both Hawkes mounted and zeroed. The Hawke reticle is much finer. The Hawkes have better optic clarity and focus especially at the higher mag settings. The fit and finish is superb on the Hawkes. Don't get me wrong, I like the UTG and it's a fine scope but not in the same league as the Hawke.

I got my Hawke in yesterday and mounted up too. I'm impressed with the bdc reticle and the clarity of the glass.  I'm also impressed with the illumination of the reticle. Very clean and crisp.  If these go on sale again, I'm getting one for one of my long range ar-15 platform powder burners.
I have 1 question about the Hawke. It came with 2 half circle aliminum pieces and and I have no idea what they are for.  Each is a different size.  No mention of them in the instructions.   Anybody know what they are for ?

Those are the keys to remove the end caps. There are 2 grooves in the locking rings that those keys fit into.

+1

They are handy, but scary to use... one slip-up and you scratch the lens surface.  Be careful!

Thanks guys.   If I use these as intended, I'm just going to bugger up my scope and will 100% lose them the first outing.  Lol.
