Xi Feng XS B4-1trigger question
«

After a long time I dis assembled, cleaned, deburred, lubed, repaired the stock, and re assembled my Xi-Feng XS-B4-1, now I am having a mistery, the trigger does not seem to be working, when I cock the lever, it does not latch on the trigger ( the piece on the right next to the trigger housing) After looking at it, it seems to me the trigger "mating surface" is not making contact with the latch mating surface.... if there is a trick, let me know.
Note, picture is not mine, but it is exactly the same trigger as in the rifle.

Is it that or is it not catching on the piston. I have had that happen. The lip on the piston was worn....

If it's the side lever I have one like it but I have never had it apart. If you put a different spring in the gun it may be to long and Is binding before the piston is back far enough to engage the sear. Extra spacers, washer or top hats might make the spring compress too much before the sear catches the back of the piston. A washer behind the spring might block it from coming back enough. Or maybe something is not letting the sear pop up and catch the back of the sear. Is the cocking lever coming back as for as it did before

Will take it apart again to figure out what did I miss, It is very possible the piston may be binding or mis-installed....that is the life of the tinkerer...hehehe.
This is an underlever model, at first I though the anti bear trap was the issue, but that was not the case. I had the rifle apart all summer, with all the parts labeled just in case, will keep you posted.

Well, I dis assembled the whole rifle, pins, trigger piston and spring, and re assembled meticulously, then dis assembled it again. It looks like the sear on the piston is a little worn out, will put a bead of welding in the piston "lip" ( sear) and file to what I consider to be "decent" and see what happens next.

Well, I filed a little the sear latch to the piston, and that was not doing the trick, so I added a washer under the leather seal, 0.032" wide area washer with a #10 hole ( which incidently it is actually the right size) and that solved the problem.... lots of little things that make other little things work. Now the trigger is solid and crisp. shot several pellets to make sure it works. Thanks for the ideas.
