I know this is a loaded question............ Shooting from a stable bench50-100 yards distancesPellets Only in .22calCurrently have a FX M3 600 .22 that does a very good job, just looking for something even more consistent. Been tuned multiple times, and have tested with many add on accessories. I've been able to be sub MOA at 100 a few times...as good as .47", but that is not an every day occurrence even in optimal weather conditions. My expectations are probably too high, but that's how some of us think. Not interested in Bench Competition, just self satisfaction.
Simplify, weight and very high quality of manufacturing. The list of guns that fall into that category isn’t very long. Thomas, Anschutz, steyr, raw BR guns.Couple that come to mindGuns that after they were built….somebody actually sat down and made sure they work and shot well. Not letting the masses sort out the muddy issues and junk parts. After that it’s the shooter and the ammo.

My .25 Dreamline's only mod is a quite simple printed barrel band. 2 days ago I was shooting and had no trouble getting sub MOA groups at 70 yards, My 2 Avengers are plenty accurate IMO but the FX is as constant as the Sunrise. AA Diabolo Field .25cal. 25.4 gr. On occasion Any gun will throw a wild round through shooter's error or a bad pellet but regardless in my opinion that FX is certainly more accurate than I am.
the most accurate rifle is the one in the hands of the most accurate shooter, at least that's what I see, I'm a good shooter, but the same rifle in the hands of a steady handed accurate expert shooter makes me look like an amature, yes I'm getting old and can't hold the gun as steady as I use to, but all the guns I have are just as accurate as I am.or should I say, my guns shoot straight, I'm the reason they miss....
I'll jump in here...I am very happy with my .25 AV Avenger. It's not a plastic breech. It has a plastic coating on it, It's very solid gun and well worth the money spent. As for the plastic stock... yeah, that's cheap feeling... at least it was until I stuffed a tea towel in it. Took all that hollow cheap sound out of it and didn't add any noticeable weight to the gun.I may just be a cheapo SOB but I'm a cheap SOB with a big ole grin on my face due to some pellet stacking at 40 - 50 yds. BTW... ain't that what we're all after?

LOL... that last post made me go to the gun case and drag out the Avenger.I received 3 tins of the $9.00 bargain gate Benjamin domes this past week so I opened one up and loaded 6 mags of 8. Filled the gun to a full 4500 with the Yong Heng and headed out to the front porch 40yd bench and bag range.32 shots only stopping to swap mags in one nice hole. Checked the gauge and it was just short of 3k remaining. Reg is set at 2100 psi.If I had one complaint it would have to be how fast I can blow through pellets.
Yep,they come with a single shot tray and two mags.

Yes the plastic overlay of the receiver is a point to the minus side however. there are a couple other as well but overall it is a remarkable gun. I own 2 of them. Many of the folks whose job it is to review and cretic' air guns bought one for their own gun collection. You get a lot of gun for your money and when they came out on the market they sold for just under $300.00 and have many features and capabilities that normally you only found in guns 4 X and upwards of that price. I still haven't found out who makes their barrels yet but they are quite accurate and not very fussy about pellets they shoot well with. Slugs take more sorting out for performers but then that's not unusualwith most guns. I like the light weight of the plastic stock and there is plenty of after market modifications that can be bought such as AR type tactical frames, add on power plenums, HP bottle conversions, Moderators, etc. I love my FX, I really do and it's a very well crafted gun and after 40 years as a machinist i have a real appreciation for finely made guns but the Avenger still impresses me. I would buy a Bull Pup if I could get away with it. I like shorter more compact rifles as i find I shoot better offhand with them and hunting I get a lot of offhand shooting.
Congrats...Be sure to read before you make any adjustments to the regulator. You can increase the pressure without degasing the gun but you need to degas before decreasing. Some folks have screwed up the regulators by not heading this warning. As for the compressor... Make sure you get a true Yong Heng. Lots of knockoffs out there. I suggest going through Walmart and spend the extra $30 or so for the extended 3 yr. warranty.
