That is good to know. I was planning on doing it if it worked for you. 😁 I tried 5 minute set clear epoxy and it didn't work. I will redo it with JB weld when I have time.
I was given an older 880 with flat top piston. It was beyond salvaging. The shroud and barrel were mangled, the receiver looked like it was beaten with a hammer, but the piston is good. I'm thinking about trying the old style piston assembly in the new 880 to see what we get.

I wish I had a lathe to make a custom high compression one.

Mr. Trey,i am not sure if there is benefit to a .030" increase in height.I believe that the factory design sees the piston face contacting the abutment face, and the bumper providing the give so that the arm can close in a cam-over state.Adding piston height will only serve to compress the bumper further....this would accelerate the bumper taking a set in the compressedstate, which contributes to pumping inefficiency...As for the marketability of a "hop up" kit, who knows?I have been surprised at the sluggish demand for my trigger re-design kit.I believe that 880 owners prefer "band-aid" mods rather than custom designed systems for product improvement.A "hot-rod" kit may suffer the same reception, people preferring pit filling and dental floss wrapping mods as opposed tocustom engineered, purpose manufactured improvements.Just my opinion.....didn't cost nutthin' and probably worth the same amount.....
