Using a 63 gr. slug I was using PW = 5.... so less than that....Bob
I had mine turned all the way down & I put an o-ring behind the top hat. I shot it that way for a long time till I wanted more power out of it.
Once you get a Chrony, find out where the velocity peaks, and then back it down about 1 on the PW from there.... You want to drop the velocity about 5% to find a bell-curve....Bob

(Boy I feel lost without a chrony right now...)
How is it grouping at 50 anyway?
Quote from: Rick67 on July 26, 2021, 06:58:04 PMHow is it grouping at 50 anyway?Hard to say. I only shot a couple dozen rounds, mostly trying to sight in the scope. The loud "bang" kind of makes me think the pellets are over powered but I really need to shoot it more to see what's going on.

My comp AG was shrouded, so it was somewhat distracting to shoot beside loud airguns, especially when you are competing.

Seems that whenever I go to a shooting range I get put right next to the guy with the short barreled .308 or .50 BMG. Hard to hit that "x" when the earth shakes every time the other guy pulls the trigger. So just what does the o-ring behind the tophat do? Mine doesn't have much of a gap. Do I need to de-gas it first? And while I'm on the subject, just how do you de-gas this rifle? And I gather there's no way to un-cock it?
