I would not go straight to the regulator. I would use a standard on/off adapter.
Something like this?https://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?topic=125764.msg1231322#msg1231322
I too have been pondering on a non destructive/easily reversible option to add a tank to my 1720T. 2 ideas I have seen is either connecting a regulated tank to the male foster fill and the other is as seen in the post above.Either way, I would have to come up with some kind of tank support off of the air tube.Keep us posted on your progress!
More like this then.If you're not going for big power then why not use a regulated bottle?HP is contained in the bottle and reg pressure everywhere else.Bottom pic is a converted 13xx pumper. The front mount = big plenum.Just get a spare tube to modify for about $20.An unregged bottle would be fairly easy and make for a cleaner look.Could possibly use the stock gauge.
RayWhat is thread diameter of the gage holder, in the pressure tube, 1/4 NPT?match that and then find the thread diameter of the valve outlet in the bottle, find the common nipple and screw everything together, I would use high pressure fittings.I would also add a bottle holder/support to the end of the bottle, as to NOT stress the fitting area etc.Hard to get a good close up of the fittings...... Don

Whatever I do, having a onboard gauge is one of the things on my list. Don't really care if I use a ASA on/off fitting or not cause I don't plan on cutting off the air supply from the bottle.I did some digging and found out those nifty direct fit bottles with the gauge showing used to be sold by DiscosRUs (spell correctly??)It was last owned by a member here named "farmerjoe" I believe, but according to his profile page he hasn't been on the GTA since like June of last year And the DiscosRUs website doesn't work anymore it seems. Bummer.I should be able to source out the parts individually to make my own setup. Just need to do some net surfing and sniff out the parts ThanksRay
Been wanting to add a small 13cu.in. tank to the bottom of my Prod. Don't want to cut the tube or go the drop block route. Saw some pictures somewhere one time of them using the gauge port on the bottom of the Prod with a NPT fitting directly into the end of the bottle, I'm assuming through the low side burst disc port? I wouldn't be using the extra tank regulated, only for extra air. And this way the Prod would still use the entire factory air tube as a plenium plus have extra air on tap. If I have it figured correctly somewhere around 3 times as much air Can anybody point me in the correct direction as to where I might source out these parts to put something like this on my Prod? Not looking for super duper power, but the added shot count would be fantastic And above all I want it to be safe!!!! Nothing cobbled together or dangerous in any way. I already have an idea on how to mount the bottle so it's good and secure with no pressure being put on the air fittings between it and the Prod.ThanksRay

Not near my stuff, so can’t see if there is an obvious problem with what I am going to suggest looking at. Use a double male nipple (1/8” NPT) between the prod steel gauge block and the regulator tank side gauge hole. Gauge can go in the fill assy fitting, but barrel band has to go on first.I have done this for a custom prod double tube and it was a pita to get the right rotations and both ends sealed. It was also time consuming making a front bracket to keep an even spacing to the tube. Any maintenance that required going in becomes more complicated/time consuming. JFYIPS: I just remembered that the 1” gauge is on the bottom tube. It will hit the shroud if on the existing prod tube.
