Hello Wyatt, do you already have an idea of what you wish to have as a ''final product''? There's so much ways to mod the 22xx platform, it can become mind-numbing quite fast . Do you have a budget? Too easy to get over 500$ invested into one build . Do you wish to keep it as a pistol, or you'd like to go the carbine way? Stay on CO2, or go HPA? Open sights, or scoped? Dunno if BNM still make and sell repeater breeches, but GMAC in England has some options. My best advice is to identify your needs/goals ASAP, so you don't invest money and realize later you need to go another way. Also, consider ordering from Crosman Custom Shop, that gives you more OEM options, and later you can buy parts from them to further mod/improve your base gun.Additionnaly, do yourself a favor and search for Wyoman's posts here on the forum, this gentleman has some pretty amazing builds and is of excellent advice. Here's one of mine, a somewhat ''basic'' target pistol build, done mainly with Crosman OEM parts:Lothar Walther 10.1'' .177 choked barrel, no barrel bandFront stock sight, rear Williams notched blade sightSteel breech with custom SS long bolt handle and flow-through probePROD two-stage trigger/grip frame (with brass safety)Walnut grip panelsSS Hex-head screw kitShortened hammer spring, polished hammer and searReduced volume (sleeved) valve and 0.086'' brass TP (70+ good shots)I was lucky to find many parts used in VGC, but nonetheless I'm in for over 300$ already.Cheers!
Starting out with a 2240 XL all that is needed to start with is trigger work, and a Hammer spring adjuster, main things I feel need attention on my new 2240xl. IN my case worst Crosman Trigger I have seen on that or 13xx guns to date. mine may be somewhat a a bad fluke
This is a 2400 technically, but I'm pretty sure you could do the exact same with a 2240.
