The Model 1 is often considered the grandfather of the 766, 2100, 2200 series of guns even though the 766 and 2200 were first. It's basically a wood stock version of the 2200 with a few exceptions (barrel, barrel band, sights etc).Depending on the version some parts are shared between the various models. Not much in common with the 760. I need to refinish the trigger guard, at the least. From the parts diagram, their are a few parts in common with the 760 Powermaster. But yeah, a piece from here, a piece from there...
Shazam........... That is a nice looking vintage rifle !That one is in great shape.Congratulations Leonard.Best Wishes - Tom Thanks. I bit the bullet & paid the price. It was just too nice to pass up and repair, restore, etc. And enjoy!
The model 1 is a really nice gun and have one in my collection . Like you I had been wanting and lookin for one for quite some time. I was able to purchse a model 2200 and then found the model 1 a few months later.I enjoy using the iron sights with this one.Congrats...be sure to post pics when u receive the rifle.
And no rust on the trigger guard, or knicks. The seller must've used the pic from the other one mentioned that was cheaper? .jpg[/img]
Beautiful rifle and the Crosman case is a bonus. Ive never seen a Crosman case before. Thanks for sharing pics.
I'm still on the fence about a 2200? I love it's grandfather, the model 1. But still thinking about the 1400's and such vintage pumpers.

Actually, the 2200 came first....kinda makes the Model 1 a younger brother.I’m not real crazy about the 2200. The wooden stocked model 1 is more appealing to me. But I’ve decided to collect examples of Crosman’s .22 caliber pumpers. 140’s seem to be abundant but 2200’s and model 1’s are rarer IMO. So after I find a Slimline 1400, I’m looking for a 2200 next.
