Perhaps a .22 HW30 is more hold sensitive than a .177, due to the very slow pellets from a .22?
Maybe the smoother shot cycle makes up for the slower projectile???
What a bunch of BS!! An HW30/R7 is not at all hold sensitive. And in 22cal its even less so at that!! HE just doesnt like springers thats all.

Quote. You really can't speak for the experiences of others either. Especially with guns. All guns can show a little bit of preference or variation from serial number to serial number but Spring airguns in my experience ALL have their own personalities and quirks. That is part of the reason I love them.
I'm still shooting the HW30, and as Loe predicted, the surprisingly loud noise and jumpiness when out of the box new seems milder now. Accuracy is getting better too.
This why most of us test fire the rifle for function and accuracy, 30 shots or less, then open up the rifle and clean all the factory lube out of the gun, re lube it properly and go back to shooting them, Usually HW rifles have lube in front of the piston seal and will cause inconsistencies in accuracy and the power plant is just not functioning correctly, due to the lube burring off

More so lately. There's been a rash badly dieseling new HWs lately. Subsequently lots of burnt seals on the 95s. Possibly due to the higher pressures and or the new thick lipped seals. It seems these aren't made as well as the previous generation seals.

Because of the more weight of the rifle has it's less sensitive.Less springy. that's my opinion on it.
