Hill Mk4 Cleaning Tip

One of my friends who I helped kit them up with a nice PCP setup dropped off his Hill Mk4 air pump because it sounded "scratchy" when in use. It still worked, but it sounded odd, so they dropped it off for service. Knew what it was when they explained what it was doing... some of you know what I'm referring to...
I took it apart and found that there was rust in the piston rod tube, the air exchanger and non-return valve area in the non-return valve block itself (the piece that screws into the manifold block). I took off all of the o-rings and used some Gun Scrubber to wash it all down and let it dry. Used some 800 grit paper to clean stuff up on the end of the piston rod tube.
So... here's the tip:
The piston rod tube can be cleaned out using a .22 cal cleaning rod, brush and of course jags with clean cloths. It fits it perfectly and allows for a thorough cleaning job.
All the o-rings looked fine and I put it back together with fresh siliconecarne, and I dead headed it at 4500PSI - no leaks and sounds perfect.
Of course I had to give one of my guns a "free" refill to "test" it... lol So I shot the P-ROD down to 1500 and filled'er back up to 3000.
Hope this helps someone down the line...
