TX 200 shooting right handed LET OFF STARTLES ME!

Ok-this is crazy
I shoot either hand-
I am left eyed right handed
So I always shot rifles LEFT HANDED-but could shoot right handed-
with pistols I just naturally shot right handed-but same story-either hand-the cheek piece never bothered me-
(never was a great shot- and my 1st shot is always the best one)
5 years ago my left index finger was sooo arthritic-so painful-I switched to right handed shooting-even with good triggers like TO6
but 3 years ago- new med-and suddenly much of my arthritic pain has decreased greatly-hands knees neck etc-
I discovered I could shoot left again
My problem-when I shoot the TX 200 left hand standing freehand-not artillery hold-just 1960 BOYSCOUT HOLD-
I can feel the take-up-hit wall-BAM-no problem
But right handed I feel almost NO FIRST STAGE- I put pressre on trigger-BAM- startles me- same trigger settings-but STARTLES ME
Now my left index finger-is obviously damaged-it can't be fully straightened -and it is deviated TOWARD my little finger
Right finger-normal finger
Left index-joint 2nd from tip it-STIFF it only bends 45 degrees- but right bends 90 degrees perhaps a bit more-
BUT my right finger right hand shooting is the one that STARTLES ME!?
Anyone ever heard of such a weird thing
Guessing I will just add more 1st stage travel to it-strange-startled by my own rifle-and I just lock-tighted it-so not anxious to pull it apart again-since it seems to be holding
Oh-no problems with any other gun- 460 no problem-but I have LOTS of 1st stage travel on it-
Strange-TX 200 great trigger-but...
What did I expect from a pretty BRIT machine-I will not retell my 1962 MG1100 PRINCE OF DARKNESS era car-sweet little car-but points would never wear out
they just BROKE in half every 1000 miles-yeah-factory points- but such a fun car
The TX 200 so good and so pretty I can forgive it anything(but I like the Diana 460 more maybe not as good on paper but...)

On the TX 200, you could try increasing the difficulty of pull on the trigger to give more feel. I think the T06 pull is a bit harder than the TX 200. As far as the MG goes. you could consider a breakerless ignition rather than points. My Triumph motorcycle now has a breakerless ignition and I NEVER have to replace points!! You may be able to substitute another type points, too. The older Harley Davidson motorcycles can use the points from an older six cylinder Chevrolet engine.

Yes INCREASE the spring tension by turning in (CW) the spring tension grub screw that sits in the trigger FRAME and NOT the screws on actual trigger. * You must remove trigger guard to get access to it. try @ 1/4 turn at a time until you get the feel you want. DO RE-INSTALL GUARD before each trial of how it feels.

Scott Thomas
Thanks for the tip
I am probably just going to play with it for a while
The problem is not the rifle
It is me.
My good right index finger-has mostly a full range of motion-it is the problem finger-my left index finger-is considerably restricted by pain and joint damage
So when my brain makes the same effort with my right finger-BAM- my left finger is soooo restricted-the effort it takes to move-is much more than my right
Really strange-my brain seems to want to use the same feedback effort lt and right- I would have guessed that would be completely separate
Oh the MG 1100- we-family- had two- 1961 1962 -in 1965-1968 -they were fun little cars-boxy little 2 door 4 seats-wood dash toggle switches(like James Bond' Bentley is how I saw it at
age 14-15)
No kidding as a teenager I imagined that tiny little nerdy looking economy car had a real wood dash real toggle switches-JUST LIKE A Bentley!!*James Bond had as belt driven supercharger
TOGGLE SWITCH ACTIVATED (in the book maybe not in movie)-Yeah brits made fun pretty machines(still do) THAT BREAK ELECTRICAL PARTS-
Thanks
Charlie
