Sitting here thinking if a 10 grain would hold more stable then the 7 grain .177 over that distance? That weight may factor in.
ATI Nova Liberty .22, H&N Barracuda 18 gr, 50 yds, open sights, 65 year old eyes. I haven't attempted a shot this far without a scope since I was in the service.
Looks good.. that's in a .22 right?(95).

But....how do I argue with this ??!! Crazy, huh !!! Maybe they've upped their game recently? I dunno.....So Eric, what was it like lining up to pull the trigger on that 20th shot?Must've felt like the bowler getting ready to roll his final frame on a 300 game!

I shot three groups this morning just to demonstrate the difference between pcp and springer. I was shooting these from very unstable folding table shooting out window of bedroom. 50 yds. . Top left group was shot using air arms s500. The flyer was definately my fault making group 3/4 inch. If you deduct the flyer it would have been a 3/8 inch group. The other two groups were shot using the TX200 177 cal. . Both of these groups come off being 3/4 inches. However if you deduct the one off shot from each of these groups the far right group would have been 1/2 inch. The middle group would have been 7/16 inch. This is only 1/16 larger than the group shot with the pcp. With a more stable shooting table the results may change completely. I have to believe that the pcp is probably a little more accurate, but not by much. Regardless of the outcome, I still love shooting my TX200 more than I do the pcp. Had a break in the weather. Tried 50 yards with the scoped HW95 and CPHP 7.9gr .177 pellets and things opened up big time. I'll need to work on my hold. Couldn't keep shots within 3"(closer to 4"), then tried different holds and couldn't keep on the 5.5"X5.5" target card. Lol The HW97 underlevers make it easier reaching out, for me. I'm comfortable with the HW95 at closer range but when reaching out, I need work.
BATTLESTATIONS!!!!! This target was created to play Battleship. I have a couple versions of it. This one I upsized the hit zones a bit so my daughter and I could shoot it. It was NEVER meant to be shot with iron sights.........but I have the day off and the gun I had laying next to my super high tech shooting rest bar chair was an iron sighted HW30s so what the heck......Now I realize somewhere around 60 shots to take out 25 targets is excessive to many of you but keep in mind I can hardly see the smaller targets, they are just blurry gray mark on the paper so I am fairly happy with with this and more most importantly it was wicked fun.The fargin, cruiser and battleship gave me FITS for some reason. There is an area on the battleship that is an amazing group......just not where I needed it. MY rules are as long as the circle tears in ANY WAY its a hit. Just like tearing the ring of the next highest point area of a target.
I guess my R9 bit the dust...Chronied it today cause I hit high the low or not even hit the card . So some shots read 625 fps the next 860 then 688, 625, ECT just all over the place . The first 50 to 100 shots chronied 912 steady , well guess not no more. This darn thing ain't even got 2000 pellets shot yet.. guess I should of got another Gamo , heck I could of got 2 games...lol
