3 weeks ago I started watching this Daisy 722 https://www.ebay.com/itm/114894587519?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&nma=true&si=KJ2k6PSt22KcpRN43AA6JKiZw3M%253D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
at that time the seller had it listed as a Buy in now at $259.00 or make offer. Well every other day he lowered the buy it now price until it hit $159.00 or make offer. Due to some events beyond my control I missed out on making an offer and the seller changed to a standard auction with a start price of $99.00. I figured I would put in what I would have offered then decided to buffer a little in case I was not around to bid once more. Well I did not win this item and was shocked the seller was just .50 cents shy of his last buy it now price of $159.00.
Seeing the win at all costs on an item listed in a standard auction, when no one would touch it as the price continued to drop over a 3 week period as a buy it now item is amazing and ridiculous, and is why I will continue to look for air rifles in the forum classifieds, at local yard sales, and yes pawn shops throughout the state.
No matter the end price is still great for a hard to find 722, but possibly could have been even a better deal for someone when you watch the price decrease because there was a willing seller wanting to make a deal. Hats off to the winner at 159.00 it still was a fair price, enjoy.
