Thanks guys.  Iíll have to take my camera next week.  I think Iím back on the boat shift on Monday.  It was major fun today.  The boats are big, clumsy scows and they are over powered when lightly loaded.  Power response is touchy. Steering one in any kind of a breeze is like pushing an overloaded shopping cart on an icy sidewalk.  The channel is tight and twisty with over hanging trees.  The current is about 3 mph and on the downstream leg and it makes handling even trickier.  I had a ball.  Didnít hit anything.  Well I banged the lower unit on a stump the first go round and kinda nudged a a sandbar a little. ;D.  Did my final tour of the day as captain ( instead of first mate) and managed to get back to the dock with all my passengers and no holes in the boat.  So Iíd call it a success and a heck of a lot of fun!

Good morning GTA! Up at 0430 CT (although, I thought it was 0615 in my dream as I was waking up). Iíve got to be down the road at 0630. I have a compressor changeout at 0730 and the new guy is helping me, itís a heavy one, 97 pounds in an awkward spot. My in bound FWB Sport is at my local hub as of 0230 hrs. Itís going to be tough if I get home at a decent time, I already cut 2/3 of my lawn & line trimmed the past 2 days in a row. If I can keep myself together and get the grass finished I wonít have to worry about it this weekend. It looks like next week we are headed back to the upper 90*s.  8)

So, is that Ruger a shooter, Dan? Did you scope it?

Good morning All.

I woke up at 4:30 am this morning.

I will be cutting the grass this morning early...before it gets too hot.

It is supposed to get up to around 90F today with 79% humidity.

The 90's are forecasted for the remainder of the week with a high of 95F Saturday.

The Canadian fires sure has made things smoky & hazy this last week or so.

We have had air quality alerts for many days. Some days you can actually smell the smoke.

I doubt there will be any change to the fire situation until the snow falls this winter.

Best Wishes - Tom

Good morning GTA! Up at 0450 CT.  I have already cut 2/3 of my lawn. I want to finish this morning. Tomorrow I'll cut my daughter's and I will need to do my line trimming here afterwards. We've had so much rain  and the grass is growing so fast that I've cut grass the past 3 days.

Like John said,  If I can keep pushing myself and get the grass finished I wonít have to worry about it this weekend.

I have mounted a scope, after shooting a couple hundred pellets I've now cleaned and polished the bore, adjusted the trigger on the little Low power Ruger Black Hawk I would like to see what accuracy I can expect out of it. 8)

Where do I apply for that job?

VOLUNTEER!  At Florida state parks.org.  We have volunteer campsites with full hookups for RVís.  Right now we have four volunteer boat captains.  Itís a really cool thing to do after you retire. (Hint hint) And there are two off-road vehicle areas in the national and state forests just a few miles from us!  ;D

Good morning GTA! Happy Friday! Up at 0400 CT. Still all giddy inside, I received my new FWB Sport and Rangemaster Sovereign Hunter pellets yesterday. I got all my mowing done too. I didnít finish the line trimming, but itís mostly done. Hopefully I can finish that after work today. Iíve got to see my chiropractor this morning. After that I have to go do that compressor job someone else wrote up, they finally found that compressor. Actually, he wrote up a whole bunch of other parts too, 14 hours of labor. I think I can knock it out in much less time. But it should keep me put until the day is done. If I can do all that, I want to pull some patches through the FWB Sport tonight.  8)

Mornin all.
Work from home today. Later I am going to cut another coil off the spring in my HW95 to get in back down to where I have a chance at being more consistent with it.

FedEx claims my 4 tins of AA Falcons will show up today. I donít have much faith in them.

Mornin..
Up at 4:30. It's Friday and, at this point, no weekend work. At the beginning of the week it was Saturday scheduled. Then rumors hit that Friday thru Monday was cancelled. Then only one shift was cancelled on Friday. Last update was Friday and Monday was back on... no Saturday.
I sure hope they are done juggling my time. I got stuff to do.

Mississippi string tie.

Sipping a tall ice tea right now and cursing the perversity of springers.  This one was stacking CPHPís last week. I opened a new tin and now itís making shotgun patterns at 35 yards.  Come back in two hours and it will probably be stacking them again.

Operator error?
