Later.I will buy one from Walmart for $59 because I can try it for up to 90 days and return it to a Walmart store if I do not like it.The rifle does not show up on Walmart.com right now. Please post the link if you find it on Walmart.com.I would like to see Walmart and Amazon get into a "price war" on this gun.I will call the local Walmart to see if they have them in stock.
Geo, do you think shooting steel BBs will damage the rifling in this gun?How accurate are BBs in this gun?I use plastic pointed tweezers to load pellets into my Daisy 880 and Crosman 2100.
I would rather see some kind of crossbolt safety going through the trigger and the bolt actuated via the hammer instead of the bolt handle throwing off the looks a bit.The hammer could be linked to the bolt and you'd pull it back to open the bolt then push it forward.
Overall I'm happy with the gun, my biggest complaint is the butt of the stock. It's slick and the angle is bad. That flat shoulder at the bottom makes it worse if the stock had a continuous curve it would be much better.
Are Barra and Bear River the same company? My Bear River BR45 pistols are "MADE IN TAIWAN" and they are very good.Where is the Barra Cowboy 1866 made? There should be something you could put on the butt pad to make it stop slipping. I am thinking honey or syrup or friction tape.
They are owned by the same company, this link will explain it all: https://barraairguns.com/blogs/news/barra-airguns-launches-flagship-item-1866-cowboy-air-rifleThat link says the 1886 is sold by Walmart, but I cannot find it on Walmart.com.Someone said they bought one from a Walmart in S.C. for $59. I would like to get that deal because Walmart gives up to 90 days to return them if you do not like the gun.
