I have been having a bunch of people sending me Crosman 38T left grips to repair, and many asking about replacements.
The left side grip is often lost when the guns are stored for years, as the left grip is only held in place by the co2 cartridge.
My question is, if I can provide a complete grip, can someone scan it in to make a file to print more?
The factory grip attaches to the co2 cartridge by a spring clip, the replicated grip could be held in place by neodymium magnets.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks.

Ian,
Hopefully a member has a scanner and is willing to help. Else, there are many 3D scanning services in TX. This is not a complete list. Just the first of so many I found that can scan small parts and render a printfile:

It will be interesting what pricing you get from the professional services. You could also try contacting a local makerspace or a 3d printer specialty shop to see if there is some amateur/hobbyist that would give it a go.
Or, if you have time, you could give photogrammetry a try. There is free software and here is a video of someone scanning something similar.

ITs not that simple. Even a good quality scan woill require clean up, and it wont be easily edited as itll be a mesh and not a CAD file.
Still, itll be easier than trying to draw the grip from scratch. If you only need the "original" shape and design, then your good.
