Back Room / Re: Good morning! Are you up yet? What's your plans for today?« Last post by anti-squirrel on Today at 02:11:59 PM »Everybody is doing all kinds of fun stuff judging by what I'm reading here. Well, maybe not all fun, but fun enough. We're cooler here; low 60s at most after several 80+ degree days, and rain inbound.
Me? I was intending to load up the trailer and the pick-up with tools, cabinets, shelving, etc to bring up to our shed on the property, but with rain likely, I'm holding off until tomorrow morning. The good news is we have a provisional occupancy permit so we can start moving household goods to the quonset. I'm done hanging doors at the "old house", but Goal #1 is still finishing the final door frame in our hallway. No door, just the jamb, but I have to rip some boards, then shim and level out the threshold, then build it out. Somewhere in between data migration stuff in my "day job" I also need to make some French Cleats for our bathroom cabinets. Once I finish this last frame, I can start with the trim and the remaining drywall/skimcoating on the current house. Dunno how much I'll accomplish today, but making progress is really all we can ask for. 2

I absolutely love mine. For the shooting I do I couldn't ask for a better all around rifle. I wish it was still available. Hello Bill, Happy to see you are still happy! Keep well and shoot straight! I did at first, but I think the hammer spring has taken a little set as I don't have to now. But I'm in the habit of opening the bolt on my pumpers before I pump them up, so not a problem. While you're in the valve, drop in a Marauder valve stem, they're a harder plastic and easier to knock open. 2 bucks from Crosman, part number 1700-140. Do you happen to know how much shorter is a 66 tube than a 2100/2200 tube? I have a 66 that needs seals, but I can't warm up to the plastic receiver and I don't shoot much 177 at all. I only paid $10 for it so a short carbine might be a better use for it. I've always drooled over the Mannlicher-Schoennher carbines, yours looks just like one. Maybe I'll finally have one without going into debt! Also, what stock is that? Thanks, Van 4

The sweet and spice goes well with the salty savory of the fishYes, a sweet salsa would work nicely! A popular Asian method is to make 3 vertical slits on each of the body, rub on salt, and then cook it right on the grill. Get a nice, crispy char on the skin. Add a mango or peach salsa, and it should be primo! Now, I want to make this! 😆 7

Back Room / Re: Our Outside Cat ... got stoned & went Bug hunting« Last post by Moke on Today at 01:15:28 PM »Ahh,.... Stink Bugs.
I really like them. I always pick them up, and move them off the patio, as i don't want to step on them. My cat caught an early season grasshopper a few days ago. It was funny watching her from a distance as she stalked it, as I couldn't see the bug, and it looked like she was attacking invisible objects, again. |
