Hi guys,
Have you seen the AirVenturi Nomad2 compressor? Thoughts?
Looks interesting..... But really don’t know if I should pull the trigger on one.
-
About last August bought the original Nomad compressor from an eBay vendor when one couldn't find them anywhere othan than pre-order; got lucky.
So far has worked like a champ...and hope stays that way.
The Nomad 2 shouldn't much different...

I did a review of the Nomad II for Hard Air Magazine. I liked it well enough to buy one.

I bought one 2 weeks ago, money well spent, considering the situation I am in for air after the hurricane. Very easy to use, about 20lbs, so carrying it around won't be a problem. Just follow the instructions and buy some 100% silicone oil and you are good to go. This will only fill the guns, not for filling tanks.

Will this silicone oil work?

100% silicone oil is written on the bottle.

Manny thanks for pointing that out. It was super fun to read, I’m ordering.....

I placed the order.
Read the manual already (https://www.pyramydair.com/air-gunsresources/manuals/nomad2-air-compressor-manual-low-res.pdf)
And ordered the silicone oil.... now just wait ZZzz..

I hope you get a good one, quality control wasn't so hot on mine. I got one for Christmas, the pressure release valve leaks, they first told me to take it apart, look at it and see if anything was messed up, fix it if it was, then call back if there was still a problem, lol.
I am hoping I don't have to pay to ship this thing back, but it looks like that's what I'm going to have to do. I am not seeing this problem anywhere else, it looks like I got a lemon, but it comes with a tag on the handle of the inspection. This thing was not inspected well because it hasn't worked since the day it came outta the box. It grates on your nerves to pay that much for something and it doesn't work, and now extra money to send it back because the quality control wasn't there on mine.
Thinking about saving some money and just sending it back and getting a Tuxing, half the price and if it breaks down when the warrenty runs out I won't feel so bad. I'm concerned it's gonna be a high dollar high maintenance unit after a year or so, I hope not.

I bought one from Pyramyd. It suites my needs. The pressure gauge was not accurate, but consistent. It would read 235 bar instead of 250. It bothered me and I called Pyramyd. They sent out a replacement gauge that took 5 minutes to swap out. Its been all working well for a couple of months.

This is an old post! I bought one that I've been using for more than a year, but recently the power push button broke. Even when you press it down the compressor won't start. I'm handy with electronic and I think I've found the switch button online and I'm planning replacing that button myself.
-
Good luck with the fix.
Had mine for a few months now and it's performance has been fantastic.

It's been a year and still doing fine, holding up well to the Ataman and Hercules.
