At the bottom of my gun list are about twenty old Chinese guns. Eight of them have leather seals. I've replaced them all with new leather seals. A poly seal might make it better, might not. Funny there's a new leather seal on my desk. I've put leather breach seals in some of my more modern break barrels cause that was all I had at the time. They worked back in the day, they work now.
Several years ago an old German engineer in Penn., at least he sound German, and he told me forget the tar, soak your springs and leather springs in non-detergent 30 weight. When you need one let it drip dry, grind the ends, a little moly on the ends. Takes awhile to blow the excess oil out. Twang doesn't bother me, hardly ever notice it. I don't think twang in and of itself ever made me miss.

Upon further inspection the spring in this QB36 looks a little snake’ish. Got all the measurements off the old spring right here. Dont want to steriod this thing out, but it is a .22. Im sure it could use a little more performance. Was hoping this little gun will shoot the heaviest of the .22 pellets. Testing will only know.
