It is those "handicaps" that I was specifically speaking of.......range finder, high mag scope, cross sticks.Which of those items might tip the scale?I have looked at all the HFT results i could find, and it seems that by finishing scores......the springer guys are about 15% down from the pcp guys on average. If the springer guys could use a high mag scope, for example......how much closer would their scores be? Mike
...If you chose PCP.....you get to choose 1 of the below. If you chose springer.....you get 2 of the below. 1. Scope over 12x 1. Scope over 12x 2. Laser range finder 2. Laser range finder3. Shooting sticks/bipod/monopod. 3. Shooting sticks/bipod/monopod4. Shooting harness 4. Shooting harnessLet's pretend this will be a one day match with a million dollar prize for the highest score. The question is.......would anyone choose to compete in this million dollar pretend match with a springer and feel like they have as good of or better chance of winning with the above rules? If your answer is no......please briefly suggest what modification would make it likely ( in your opinion) for you to compete against PCP fairly. For example......allow 3 upgrades instead of 2 for springer.Mike
Its still moving forward, for sure......although no dates have been set, yet.The first match will likely be in May.
Wow glad to see more people coming out of the woodworks from Colorado. Some time next summer, Im hoping to do a prairie dog shoot on private land out by Fort Morgan/Brush. Would be sweet to do a FT shoot. There are a few of us that have already talked and shot together from Aurora up to Greeley.

Three or so hrs from Bayfield would not be out of the question and want to get up that way at some point anyway. I shoot nitro-piston at this point (hunting and plinking) but am working on "setting up" a B51. Wouldn't really care who I shot against, or the handicaps of either, other than to attend my first FT-type shoot and participate.
