I don't know about the range finder. Takes away some of the guess work which should be part of the challenge. The rest is fine though.
1. If you are going to drive 60-600 miles to get here, and will be shooting a springer......would you rather shoot in your own springer class, or would you like to compete with the PCP's and be offered an advantage in ranging or steadiness to make things more equal?2. Would you rather know that you will have people to compete against in a hybrid class, or is it OK to take the chance on attending knowing that you could be by the only springer shooter here.I'm asking these questions because I would like folks to attend from outside of Montrose and enjoy a competitive event while they are here....no matter what they shoot. When I say competitive......I mean that they actually have someone else to shoot against that might accrue similar scores.
Michael,It is just my opinion that while matches stay informal among friends the specifics of guns and how shot really don't matter. But ... if you want others to drive and come compete from outside areas the Class's, Rifles and such absolutely need to be broken down as recognized by the FTA.Know myself would in no way want to or be willing to shoot a springer against a PCP Or have a competitor using MEGA optics in HFT while following the 12X limit. So on and on this would become increasingly difficult being rules loose and participation high done much beyond the "Buds" getting together for grin and giggles shooting.Regards,Scott
