Hunting a feeder out of a tree blind doesn't make much for storytelling ;D ;D ;D
Pretty boring really, I was sitting there from 2 PM to 6 PM so I'll let the videos and picture tell the story ;D ;D
Just a little explanation of the events so the 2 videos will make more sense,
About 6 PM and was getting dark and I was thinking to start packing up shortly when 2 Brothers came into the feeder super hot, turned on the camcorder and as soon as the bigger one gave me a shot I took it, I than turned the camera off and was about to go down when I realised the other boar only run 20 yards and was coming back in ( gotta love quiet Airguns for hog hunting ;) ) ....so I turned the camcorder back on, I didn't know if he was gonna come in more or if he was even gonna stick around at all or bolt, so I took a quick shot.
The Storm .30 performed great,...this rifle is a sure winner.

Taking the Trophy shot it was getting dark so I had to take a second picture with the flash ;D

It was getting late so I ended up with a Porker in the trunk (to process later and one in the Ice chest ;D ;D

So the Storm .30 in its short tenure has taken a Peacock, a mongoose and now 2 Porkers, definitely doing its job well ;D
Next I think I want to set up a serious mongoose hunt

Thanks for sharing the hunt with us it was fantastic! Them Rainstorms in 30 cal are a deadly gun! Did you notice if the JSB shot completely through there heads? How do you think it would work on a broad side lung shot? I'm sure it would run a ways. I have one other question for you, these 30 cal are such a great gun, how is the accuracy with the .357 Rainstorm?

No, no way they would go completely through,
I would not even attempt a Heart/lung shot with the .30, I'm sure it would make a kill but tracking in my type of terrains would make it a nightmare and I would imagine I most likely would not recover the hog.
I had two .357 Storms, they wheren't as accurate as this .30 but they where pretty darn good still,
shot the JSB pellet great, the UPP/UG well and the roundball pretty good too.

Never figured out when and why sometimes it's a violent and short death dance than others is more sedated and prolonged like on this 2 porkers

:) :) :) ....the one butchered in the field went to the restaurant I work at and they are gonna make a Wild Boar special out of it,
the other went to a Samoan family that is always looking for porkers.

Nice job Manny! 2 dead porkers within a minute or 2 is awesome. I am not surprised the 2nd one came back looking at the size of the Storm's LDC.

Very cool brother, my hunting properties here in NC already have had yote issues now the feral pigs are moving in too. Been hunting them using a xbow so I can get the chance at multiples. I am now looking at air guns to use with night vision optics....What do you feel is your maximum effective range ?

I use wooden shafts,
yes about 10" broke inside the boar, I noticed that there was a cut on the opposite side, so the broadhead poked out that side but must have been pulled back as the boar run through vegetation and broke the shaft.

Nice piggy with the bent-stick and string. I haven't pulled any of my bows with any seriousness since Winter started, although I need to build some new arrows.
The shot placement with the RS .30 is perfect. Since the 2nd came back to join its buddy in hog-heaven, are these pigs used to relatively loud ambient noise levels?

I'm not on Trad talk, I might have registered in the past but never contributed, was on Tradgang until I got banned :) :) ...Primitive archer and Pirates of archery are 2 I used to frequent.
Hogs in this area are very skittish, there's some noise coming from a few valley away of Military shooting and choppers at times,....I think the low sound signature of an Airgun with an LDC didn't scare him much, and the fact that his brother was still hanging around :) made him confident he could come back
