... I could never consider carrying a great white around with me... I do have a 90ci bottle in an O2 backpack:
In deed the somewhat little Ninja 90's or Brancado Guppy carries in a small back pack very easily.
What are the dimensions of the Great White tank?Would something like a sleeping bag stuff sack? I know you can strap them to the bottom of the molle sacks and they are stable. Though like you rucking with these things isn't exactly comfortable or fun for a long time.Contact ColeTac as well... they make some great stuff as well. Could have a tank cover made, with some high density foam for protection, then have it attached vertically to the frame you posted above. That should give you plenty of room on either side of the tank to strap down your other equipment. I personally would want it centerline as an off centered/ off balanced pack is a back killer. Much like you I am sure, part of the reason why my back is in the pain category it is. Have been looking at something as well for when I got camping for a weekend. Make a basecamp, and just refill when back at camp. Am in the process of making a bag that I can hang with my hammock when camping. Thinking it would be to much to take with when I am using the kayak on a trip.
Yeah deployment bag would be a better option.Would still look at going to a fabric store and get some high density foam to cradle the tank during transport. Either that or a proper sized pvc pipe to slide over the tank.
I wish we had bags like that when we deployed..... nope we had those nasty green duffels.Would think if you are just using it to transport in the vehicle those bags would be fine. May have to find something like that to haul gear around in the truck. I don't think tossing the tank in the bed of the truck would be a good idea lol
