Calibers ;Is the .50 a .495 or a .501 ?The .308,....I know it shoots the .30 JSB pellet, but does it also shoot the cast .308 bullets ?
You are considering an airforce gun? I recall a while back that you had a distaste for the esthetic. What is making you consider getting one, if you are?
Mine takes .510 the last time I checked... and it works well.

I would push one through the bore, measure with a micrometer, and then size them if necessary. The two extra thousandths might be too tight, or it might not. A Lee hand press and sizing die setup isn't that expensive and you can get a perfect bore fit.
