For starters In the early 80's I invented the "Snap mag release" for the 10 22 rifle, and quick release for the Ruger Mk 1,2 pistol magazine, Both were Stolen as the were "Not Patentable'', thank you Ramline Inc. after that I got into air guns and Paintball, in its Infancy so it was the wild west for Inventors and a lot of fun. Paint ball gun Mods. were easy and I basically worked for Paintballs, I worked out of my Garage with a lathe and mill. I made externally rifled barrels for paintballs and eventually my own semi auto painball gun.

I used to love motorcycles, now I don’t even look at them anymore after working on motorcycles for a living for 15 years so thank goodness I don’t do that anymore. I would never ruin my air gunning hobby that’s just me. Now I repair commercial kitchen equipment, I’ve never cared about commercial kitchen equipment so it works out

To the OP ...... indeed the trend is what have you done ?  Or can do by showing AIR GUN relatable work that you have done.
I'm not trying to be a azz hole here, but weigh some relativity. As one who has done a bunch of really cutting edge R&D, shared the actual machining created parts tho having a lack of folks realization of the steps involved has lead too many an inquire of custom Parts-n-Pieces gone down in flames.

I really do wish all the best in this seeking venture .... the actual work is rewarding as heck !!!!   The being on the same page of customers expectations and deliverable results for a reasonable $$$ is generally NOT on the same page.

I was going to have a work buddy 3D print a rear peep sight for my 2240 but a milled aluminum one crossed my mind.
Such a small part not sure if the project would be cost effective for either of us but PM me if you're interested.

As a suggestion moding a 2240 and 13xx valve and posting before and after chrony results might get you a fan base .....
A ton of us believe a 6fpe stock gun can be modded to a hunter....

Some of you wanted to see what I have done in the past. I found some of the crosman 1100/DAQ shot pistol Shells I made some of them are aluminum I don't do the stainless steel anymore, And one Was commercially made back in the day don't know if they do anymore.

 Of course it won't let me post a friggin picture.

The ones I've seen are just too crude with hardware nuts looking like sore eyes.

You could replace those with something machined and knurled.

..or silencer adapters in brass, alum, or SS.

Complex stuff are not worth the effort, IMHO.

Show me, as I don't know what a  SSG is, though I know and have a 2240 based gun.
